One incredibly important skill to acquire is how to learn, and for many students, learning how to learn is part of the high school experience.

Struggle, and even "failure", is often part of the learning process. We do not memorize our multiplication tables; we learn through repetition. Babies don't memorize how to walk, they learn to do so, with many many many failures along the way. I believe failure is often an essential component to success, thus, it is not "failure" at all, just part of the learning process.
